Under Multiple Suns
Documentary Film written and directed Helene Kazan
Through a combination of human and material testimony, and uncovered archival documentation ‘Under Multiple Suns’ produces an account of the contested history of the events that took place in the Allied invasion of Lebanon and Syria in 1941. This short film exposes in human and material terms, how actions and events that took place during this historic period, have become inscribed in the day-to-day materiality of the lived-built environment in Lebanon. As a lived condition that has unfolded in both temporal and spatial terms to construct multiple lived worlds that concurrently exist ‘Under Multiple Suns’.
